LSATS approaching

June 2nd, 2008

Hi all, I haven’t been writing much lately, because LSATs are coming up June 15, as well as the usual slew of grading, writing, etc. It’s actually kind of fun to study for them, as opposed to word crunching for the GREs. I feel like LSATs are the test I was born to take.

Here are my goals for the next few weeks:

  • Apply for passport - CHECK this morning!
  • Catch up on international blogs RSS
  • Finish grading, write up practicum report, finish tobacco report
  • Do stellar presentation at the MPH symposium
  • Get 177+ on LSATs
  • Apply to some global health jobs that make my heart thump
  • Read ‘the 10 most underreported humanitarian stories of 2007‘ and maybe the archives

177+? Shiet, you’re a beast. And you’re a beast because you can totally do it. Life is not fair!!!

    :) GOOD LUCK!! :)

With statements like “LSATs are the test I was born to take”, you’d better get a 178+ instead. Actually, you’re a smart guy, make that a 180.

It’s a good idea to post a list of things you want to accomplish in the near future. But be aware that in doing so, you’re giving the people you live with ready-made guilt arsenal for when you scope out pretty wallpapers online or talk about infantry for a bazilliondrillion hours.

I think I will start to do the same because writing short term goals in a private journal isn’t retaining quite the same oomph as it used to for me. I need the public scorn at my laziness.

I still hate you a little for your GRE score. Dinh, too.

What’s the passport and LSAT for specifically? Your goals seem all over the place!

cool, you’re going to be participating in a MPH symposium???
i checked out the msf website…props for reading through it (when you do) cause that stuff looks super depressing. :(

This should be your schedule for the next 2 weeks: 8am-12 pm LSAT #1, take 1 hr lunch, 2-6 pm LSAT #2, 1 hr dinner, 8-12am to work on other goals. The last few days before LSAT take 3 test/day. hahaha sounds crazy. Good luck!

Everybody, thanks for the comments and reading though I never post.

Helen, I think I’ll post my weekly agenda every Sunday or so, and check it off finished items every time I make a new post. I would love to hit 180, but I think it’s virtually impossible for anyone to consistently score 180.

Thu, I’m hoping to work for an international NGO this year. Law school is to do international health/technology law. We’ll see if either pan out [=

Carol, yea we present the projects we’ve worked this quarter. Mine is on postpartum depression. I was hoping to have produced a video for it, but that might not pan out in time.

Jane, a practice LSAT takes me about 2 hours, so its not too bad. It’s won’t be too hard to do 2 a day. Just gotta juggle everything else.

Oooh… I like your idea for a weekly agenda. I have a to-do list that I look at every few days but I slack. Haha. I think keeping it consistent and making it public will help ensure that I keep on track!
